The alternative pop/rock band Unit 406 formed in 2016, with Gabriel Tagadtad and Chen Pangan on vocals and guitars, Tim Sison on drums, Ash Vanguardia on bass guitar and TJ Hollon on keyboard.
In 2017, they entered the Himig Handog songwriting comeptition with their jam-worthy track "Tanghaling Tapat," which eventually became a finalist in the event. This is just one among the band's worthy achievements.
Their proud and anthemic single "Mandirigma" was picked up by one of the top TV networks in the country, and the song became part of the official soundtrack of a hit drama fantasy series.
Such is the nature of their music, authentic and approachable to a broad range of audiences. Unit 406's lyrics speak to the common Filipino - full of fun, wit and the occassional hugot of emotion. These are the kinds of songs you hear and make you think, "soundtrack of my life."
